Teresita Hernandez, 57 of Bryan passed away Monday, May 29, 2023. A Memorial Service in her honor is set for 5PM Friday, June 2 in the Chapel of Trevino-Smith Funeral Home. Visitation will also be on Friday, June 2 from 4-7PM at Trevino-Smith.

Born June 5, 1965 in Burleson County, Texas, she was the daughter of Albino and Guadalupe (Contreras) Hernandez. Teresita enjoyed singing and dancing whenever she got the chance to, and absolutely adored her many Chihuahuas, especially her “mina”. She was known and will always be remembered to be selfless in everything that she did, and would even give you the shirt off of her back if you needed it. She loved her family immensely, if you knew her you were family. Tia Loka will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Her parents, Albino and Guadalupe; three sisters, Albina Saldana, Maria De La Luz Chavez, and Juanita Garcia, along with four brothers, Arnufo Hernandez, Jessie Hernandez and Ricardo Hernandez, Albino Hernandez Jr. precede her in death.

Teresita leaves behind to cherish her memories, her beloved husband of 7 years, Leandro Juarez; a son, Angel John Ponce; two daughters, Crystal Marie Ponce, and Ariel Marina Ponce; two brothers, Antonio Hernandez and wife Linda, and Jose Hernandez and his wife Linda; she also leaves four sisters, Ramona Gutierrez, Pauline Hernandez, Dolorez Gutierrez and husband Delfino, and Guadalupe Conrad and husband William; two precious grandchildren, Lilliana Nicole Ponce and Johnathan Alexander Ponce; as well as numerous other family members and friends.
