Ronald Wayne Donahoe was born on July 11, 1954, in Harris County. He passed away on March 20, 2024, in Bryan, Texas. His family remembers him best as a passionate man who enjoyed hunting, westerns (particularly those starring John Wayne), and who had a deep interest in history and the Bible. He spent his childhood and young adult years in the LaPorte/Pasadena area before relocating to Buffalo in the 1980s. He resided there until he moved to Caldwell, where he was living at the time of his passing.
Ronnie would have been the first to tell you he wasn't perfect. But he would have also been the first to tell you that he knew his sins had been forgiven through Jesus Christ; and that while he couldn't erase the man he had been, he could still focus on being the best version of himself that he could be moving forward. That's exactly what he did later in life, focusing on helping his neighbors in Caldwell and contributing to local ministries, including the local food pantry.
He was preceded in death by his father, Doyce Wayne Donahoe, his mother, Billie Jean Donahoe, his sister, Linda Gail Ainsworth, and grandparents on both sides of the family.
He is survived by his sister, Patricia Donahoe, multiple nieces, nephews, and great-nephews.
Per Ronnie's request, no funeral or memorial service will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Ronnie's honor to:
