Roberto R. Tarin

May 14, 1936 – October 23, 2022

 

Roberto R. Tarin, 86, of Bryan passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2022. Funeral Services are set for 11 AM on Friday, November 4 at Trevino-Smith Funeral Home with burial to follow at Bryan City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM on Thursday, November 3, 2022 with a Rosary Service at 6 PM in the Chapel of Treviño-Smith Funeral Home.

Born on May 14, 1936 in Piedras Negras, Mexico, he was the son of Juan Francisco Tarin and Romana Rodriguez.  Roberto “El Chuntaro” Tarin was a loving father to all of his children. He was a hard working entrepreneur who owned RTR Construction for many years. He had a heart of gold and would help out anyone in need. Most of his time was spent cooking, listening to corridos, watching boxing, and being around family which was the most important to him. His friends and family will truly miss him.

His parents Juan and Romana, and a sister; Cuca Tarin precede him in death.

Roberto leaves behind to treasure his memories, seven daughters, Gloria Ramona Tarin, Rosa Linda T. Martinez and husband Gilberto, Luz Maria T. Ramirez and husband Ruben, Araceli Tarin, Nenci T. Hernandez and husband Epi, Janet Maria Anderson and husband Devon, and Judy Tarin; seven sons, Roberto Hernandez Tarin and wife Antonia, Jose Miguel Tarin, Juan Antonio Tarin and wife Maria, Oscar Rodrigo Tarin, Robert Tarin, Raul Tarin, and Jerry Tarin; one sister, Maria del Refugio Tarin de Compean; two brothers, Miguel Tarin Villarreal and Gabriel Rodriguez; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as many other family members.
