N. Jack Jones Obituary

N. Jack Jones was born on November 10, 1934 in Oxford, North Carolina to Rial H. Jones and Cornelia (Neade) Hobgood Jones and died on April 3, 2024 in College Station, Texas. Jack was a graduate of Oxford High School and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1956-1958. Jack married Faye Lunette Ozment on February 27, 1960 and they were married for 61 years before Faye’s passing in 2021. Jack started his insurance career at Nationwide Insurance in Raleigh, NC. and in 1964 moved to Maitland, Florida with Liberty Mutual Insurance. He was an active member of First Presbyterian Church of Maitland. In 1987 he moved to Cypress, Texas where he retired after 30 years with Liberty Mutual. In Cypress, he was a faithful member of Windwood Presbyterian Church. In 2016, he moved to College Station, Texas where he lived until he died at the age of 89. He was predeceased by his wife Faye Jones, his father and mother and brother Rial Cooper Jones. He is survived by his daughter, Jacky Pence (College Station, Texas), son, Rial Jones (Windermere, Florida), granddaughter Kallie Donley and husband, Stewart Donley (College Station, Texas), grandson RJ Jones, (Fort Myers, Florida), granddaughter, Lexi Jones and husband Manny Carrera (New York, New York), and great grandsons, Jaxon and Samuel Donley. Jack led a long healthy life and will be missed for his talent for remembering names and dates of everybody he met, his incredible loyalty to his Carolina Tar Heels and for his very kind soul!
