     Lew VanDusseldorp, 74, of Iola, Texas passed away Sunday, September 11, 2022. A Memorial Service is set for 11 AM Saturday, September 17, 2022, at the Cross Baptist Church.

     Born November 5, 1947, in Belmond, Iowa, he was the son of Lew Leonard and Lena (Arends) VanDusseldorp. Lew was drafted in 1965 from Las Vegas, Nevada, and served his country in Vietnam where he was given many awards among which were the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He was an Avid farmer in Iowa for 18 years and was an accomplished truck driver. Lew will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

     His parents; a sister, Lola Phipps; and a brother, Leslie VanDusseldorp precede him in death.

     Lew leaves behind to cherish his memories, his loving wife of 41 years, Peggy VanDusseldorp; three sons, Adam VanDusseldorp, Alex VanDusseldorp, and Austin VanDusseldorp; a daughter, Amanda Steele; a sister, Laura James; 10 precious grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
