Juanita Gonzales, 87 of Bryan passed away on November 3, 2021 in her home surrounded by her loved ones. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Sunday, November 7, 2021, in the Chapel of Trevino Smith Funeral Home in Bryan, with the Rosary to be recited at 6:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Monday, November 8, 2021, at Santa Teresa Catholic Church with Reverend Victor Mayorga as Celebrant. Interment will Follow at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Born on June 24, 1934, in Shiner, TX to Marcos Perez and Pilar Gonzalez Perez. She farmed alongside her husband Genero while being a devoted mother and grandmother but in her spare time she enjoyed gardening. She especially loved tending to her roses, her rose garden was so beautiful people would often stop by and take pictures. She also enjoyed embroidering things and gifting them to family and friends. Juanita was a true prayer warrior; she prayed daily for her family and friends and even prayed for those she meet for the first time.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband Genaro Gonzales of 64 years; parents Marcos and Pilar Perez; son Jose Gonzales; 2 sisters Sandy Savala and Modesta Hernandez; 3 brothers Alfonso Perez, Marcos Perez Jr, Luis Ramirez Jr.
Juanita leaves behind to cherish her memory, 5 sons, Louis Gonzales, Frank and wife Becky Gonzales, Ernest Gonzales, Paul and wife Patricia Gonzales, Joe and wife Cynthia Gonzales; 5 daughters, Janie and husband Juan Cruz, Josie Gonzales, Mary and husband John Camarillo, Rosie and husband Arturo Gutierrez, Leslie and husband Jorge Gomez; 4 sisters, Cruz Salazar, Mary Ramirez, Eva Lopez, and Martina Ramirez; 1 brother Adan Ramirez; 38 grandchildren, 71 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
