Jose Angel Rangel

Jose “Joe” Rangel, 70, of College Station passed away Thursday, May 14, 2020. A Mausoleum entombment is set for 10:30AM Friday, May 22 at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. An online link will be provided to view the services at a later date.

Born in Monterrey, Mexico in 1949 he was the son of Jose Cruz Rangel Monsivais and Irma (Carreon) Gonzales Rangel. Joe was always a great provider. He worked various jobs throughout his career. He retired as a truck driver after many years. Joe liked being outdoors, loved music, and enjoyed to cook for family and friends. Everyone loved Joe from the food delivery driver to the bank tellers but most especially his dear family members and many friends. Joe loved his family deeply.

He is preceded in death by his father Jose Cruz; and first wife, Blanca Rangel.

Joe leaves behind to cherish his memories, his wife Cheryl Rangel; a step daughter from his first marriage, Brenda; Cheryl’s two children a son, Jesse and a daughter, Michelle, three brothers, Carlos Rangel Carreon, Alfredo Rangel Carreon, and Luis Rangel Carreon ; four sisters, Dalia Isela Rangel Carreon, Lucila Rangel Carreon, Martha Laura Rangel Carreon, and Nelley Rangel Carreon; as well as his newly acquired grandchildren  who he adored spending precious moments with, Myles and Andrew, sons of Michelle; and Jillian, Olivia, and Jayden, daughters of Jesse.
