     Jose Socorro Lopez, 60, of Bryan passed away Saturday, May 29, 2021. Funeral Services are set for 11AM Friday, June 4 in Santa Teresa Catholic Church with burial to follow in the Bryan City Cemetery. Visitation is set for Thursday, June 3 from 5-8PM in the Chapel of Trevino-Smith Funeral Home with a 6PM Rosary.

     Born May 13, 1961 in Puerto de Sosa, Guanajuato, Mexico, he was the son of Apolinar and Natividad (Cruz) Lopez. Jose loved to sing and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and son, and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

     He is preceded in death by a brother.

     Jose leaves behind to cherish his memories, his loving wife of 38 years, Gloria Lopez; three sons and their spouses, Juan and Margarita Lopez, Eduardo and Diana Lopez, and Leonardo and Irene Lopez; a daughter and her husband Berenice and Omar Venegas; his parents, Apolinar and Natividad Lopez; three brothers, Rafael Lopez and wife Inez, Cirildo Lopez, and Martin Lopez and wife Rosario; two sisters, Rosalia Lopez, and Guadalupe and husband Salvador Monson; and eleven precious grandchildren and two on the way.
