Born September 20, 1957, in Houston, Texas he was the son of Raymond Ruiz and Virginia Melendez. BB was a hard-working family man who enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. As the oldest of his siblings, he helped his mother raise and care for his younger brothers and sisters. BB loved his church family at First Baptist Church of Houston where he was very active in his Sunday School Class. His family always came first but if you knew him you were a friend for life.
BB leaves behind to cherish his memories, his loving wife of 45 years Elaine Alvarez Ruiz, one son, Jacob and his wife Cynthia Ruiz; a daughter, LeeAnn Torres-Ruiz and her husband Jaime; four brothers and their wives, Alfred and Vickie Ruiz, Louis Ruiz, Noe Gonzalez and Joe and Rachel Arenas; he also leaves five sisters and their husbands, Linda Ruiz, Mandy, and Rudy Gomez, Delia Zarate, Tina and Ricardo Vegara, and Susie Sandoval; along with five precious grandchildren, Christian, Crystal, Sophia, JJ, and Andy.
In lieu of flowers the family wishes contributions be made to the American Cancer Society in his honor.
