John Conner Ray of College Station, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2020, at the age of 72. He was born in Harlingen, Texas, on August 25, 1948, to William Franklin Ray and Polly Jo (Kirk) Ray. On September 9, 1972, he married Bernice Ann Rejsek and they had two children, that he dearly loved, Brian and Lisa.
John was a member of the A&M Church of Christ in College Station and loved the friends he made there, especially his small group church family. Just as his father did in World War II, John served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War era. He had a love for the outdoors and never missed an opportunity to have a laugh with someone.
Preceding him in death are his infant sister, Bonnie J. Ray, his parents, Bill and Polly Ray, his paternal grandparents, John Jefferson and Ona Mable (Hodge) Ray of Athens, Texas, and his maternal grandparents, Conner and Annie Rebecca (Albritton) Kirk of Bazette, Texas.
He leaves behind his wife of 48 years, Bernice Ann Rejsek Ray, his son, Brian Thomas Ray and wife Rebekah Freeman Ray of College Station, Texas, his daughter, Lisa Marie (Ray) Davis and husband Anthony (Tony) Chambers Davis of Denver, Colorado, and brother James Stanley (Stan) Ray and wife Susan of Topeka, Kansas.
