August 22, 1932 – November 5, 2021

 

Baldemar Garza, 89, of Bryan passed away Friday, November 5, 2021. Funeral Services are set for 11AM, Wednesday, November 10 at Santa Teresa Catholic Church. Father Victor Mayorga will officiate and burial will follow in the Rest Ever Memorial Park.  Visitation will be from 5 to 8PM with a Rosary at 6PM Tuesday, November 9 in the Chapel of Trevino-Smith Funeral Home.

Born August 22, 1932 in Falfurrias, Texas he was the son of Alfredo and Dorotea (Perez) Garza. Baldemar was a Korean War Veteran. He loved to take his wife on Sunday drives and liked to travel. Being a very hard worker he enjoyed truck driving from the age of 16 until he was 81 years of age. Baldemar was considered a friend to all that had the pleasure of meeting him.  

His parents, Alfredo and Dorotea; two sons, Benito and Albert Garza; three brothers, Juan Alfredo, Arnoldo and Roberto Garza precede him in death.

Baldemar leaves behind to cherish his memories, his loving wife of 63 years Lidia (Ramirez) Garza; five sons, Juan Baldemar Garza and wife Elena, Bernardo Garza, Robert Garza and husband Gustavo, Ruben Garza and wife Christy, and Roy Garza and wife Sally; three daughters, Lupita and husband Eddie Acosta, Maria Elena Garza, and Degna and Joel Munoz; one brother, Juan Garza and wife Elda; twenty grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; and one precious great great grandchild.
