Alton Davis Haley
August 10, 1948 – September 10, 2021
Alton Davis Haley, 73 of Brenham, TX changed addresses to
heaven Friday, September 10, 2021. Graveside Services are set
for 10:30AM Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at Houston National
Cemetery, in Houston, Texas. Pastors Rob & Anna Thoreson will officiate. Online

Born August 10, 1948, in Eudora, Arkansas, was the son of
Avery Davis Haley and Ila Mae Helms.
Alton loved fishing, casino hopping, and deer hunting in his
earlier years. He loved the Lord Jesus and his wife Iralee of 51
years, and his children. He served the Lord with gladness. He
loved RV’ing and was no doubt the inspiration for the Robin
Williams movie RV.
Alton was a master woodworker, cabinet, and home builder.
He mentored many nephews (about 25), teaching the craft of
woodworking.
Alton served in the United States Air Force 1968-1972 with
Military Security Police as a Sentry Dog Handler and as a
combat Veteran with the 366th Gunfighters in Vietnam 1969-
1970.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Avery Davis Haley
and Ila Mae Helms, daughter Julie Diane Haley, and brother Joe
Max Haley.
Alton leaves behind to cherish his memories, his wife Iralee
Haley, one son, Adam Davis Haley, grandson, Joshua Adam
Haley and wife, Tabitha Haley, grand-daughter, Bethany Grace

Haley, Three great-grandchildren, Rose’Lynn, Ezekiel Alton and
Kai O. Haley. Sisters, Carolin Harper and husband Al, and Peggy
Holmes.
