Milton Ed Byrd

Milton Ed Byrd, 87, of Flynn, Texas passed away Sunday, October 13, 2019. Funeral Services are set for 11AM Saturday, October 19 in Flynn Assembly of God.  Pastors David Riley and Rick Smith will officiate and burial will follow in the Gum Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8PM Friday, October 18 also in the Church.

Born January 5, 1932 in Flynn, Texas he was the son of Marvin Byrd and Stella (Rodgers) Hodges. Milton loved spending time with his family and friends and taking family vacations. He also enjoyed playing a good game of dominoes with his friends. Working, ranching, fishing and coon hunting were among his favorite past times.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Opal Byrd Hines and Bonnie Hodges Gordon; also by three step brothers, Lowell Hodges, Billy Jo Hodges, and Garris Hodges.

Milton leaves behind to cherish his memories, his loving wife of 64 years, Esther Ruth (Murff) Byrd; two sons, Gordon and wife Kim Byrd, and Paul and wife Krystal Byrd; two daughters, Janet and husband John Dufilho, and Jeana and husband Eric Goodson; seven loving grandchildren, Gordon Jr. Garrett, Will, Taylor, Clay, Bethany, Kooper, Lilli, and Brent; he also leaves four precious great grandchildren.
