Charles Edward Swist
October 12, 1953 – November 3, 2018
Charles Edward Swist of Bryan TX, was born to the late Roges Swist & Azella Henry on October 12, 1953 in Gonzales, Texas. Funeral Services are set for 11AM Saturday, November 10 in the New Zion Missionary Baptist Church. Rev.Sylvester Smith Jr. will officiate and burial will follow in the Bryan City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8PM Friday, November 9 in the Chapel of Trevino-Smith Funeral Home.
He attended Luling High School helping them to go to the State Championship in 1971. He graduated from Luling High School that same year, and continued on his educational journey at Prairie View A&M University. He was on his way to professional sports but his path was changed due to sport related injuries.
Charles professed Christ in his life at an early age, attending Little Hill Baptist Church. He later relocated to Bryan, TX where he served at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church. Charles was Blessed with his one and only Daughter Madora “Neicy” Swist in January 1986 (from his 1st Marriage). He was ordained in Marriage with his loving wife Tanya Swist on June, 9th 1994 gaining 3 sons Braden Price, Bradlee Price and Rayland Robinson Jr. He was ordained as a Deacon in July of 1994, and served as a Deacon until he passed. He enjoyed working for Walmart where he was employed for 31 long years.
Charles Swist was called home on November 2, 2018 where he will fellowship with the angels in Heaven. He is preceded in death by his parents (Father) Roges Swist, (Mother) Azella Henry, his Siblings (Brother) Bobby Ray Swist, (Sister) Linda Jo Phillips and his daughter Madora “Neicy” Swist.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory, his wife of 24 years Tanya Swist, his brothers James Shaw and Sedrick Earl Henry (Crystal), his sister Sandra Gage (George), 3 sons Braden Price (Tracie), Bradlee Price (Chantelle) and Rayland Robinson Jr. (Linda). He also leaves his Grandchildren, Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Relatives & Friends.
