Betty Jean Wiese

April 20, 1931 – January 8, 2019

 

        Betty Jean Wiese, 87, of Granbury Texas passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2019. Services are set for 1PM Sunday, January 13 in the Chapel of Trevino-Smith Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12PM until service time.

       Born April 20, 1931 in Bluff Dale, Texas she was the daughter of Richard Ollie and Annie Elizabeth (Scott) Franklin. Betty worked for many years typing Insurance Policies and also worked for her husband from 67-97 in his motorcycle shop and his Lock Smith business. She was a terrific cook and enjoyed cooking for her family. She had a great sense of humor and was always the peace maker. Betty enjoyed quilting, as well as playing cards and board games with her family. She loved the Lord, and Gospel Music and was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be missed by all who knew her.

       She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 62 years, William R. Wiese Jr.; a brother, William Wesley Franklin; and two sisters, Katie McElreath, and Alta Jackson.

       Betty leaves behind to cherish her memories, three sons, William Wiese III and wife Liz, Richard Lee Wiese and wife Susan, and Charles Glenn Wiese; four sisters, Frances Hyde, Mae Gentry and husband Roy, Fay Reed and husband Charlie, and Louise Olree and husband Lynn; ten grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
